We are a family OwnedOperated Farm and Ranch

The Good Shepherd Homestead and Ranch was started in January of 2020 by Michael and Christine Bryan. With a calling from God and much prayer, they found a homestead in Oklahoma to care for and raise cattle and be good stewards to the cattle and land. Their homestead follows Biblical principles with a self-sustaining ecosystem blueprint.   Over the last few years, they along with friends and family, are creating a sustainable farm and ranch to service themselves and others. We’re so glad you found us.

Who We Are

Proverbs 27:23  Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, Give careful attention to your herds.

Hello!  We are Michael and Christine Bryan.  We started a homestead in Oklahoma with 60 acres, two cows, and a bull named Sampson.  There was a Great Pyranees on the property that was a previous owner’s. We don’t know how long he had been alone patrolling the property but we fed him during the purchasing process and we named him Israel and he became our first guardian dog who has been the absolute best cattle dog ever.

Today, we manage 100 acres,  up to 60 head of cattle and 30 sheep along with chickens, turkeys, ducks and a goose.  We purchased an additional 40 acres next door in 2024 to accommodate the additional animals. We’d love for you to visit and we will show you around the property.  Schedule an appointment or come visit us during our annual events.

We Serve the Community: We belong to the C-3 and Chamber of Commerce of Beggs and Okmukgee County and support local businesses.  We also feed and clothe the homeless in Tulsa through our foundation, the Tulsa Saints.

We started The Tulsa Saints Foundation in 1997.  We purchased a little trailer and with the help of donations from the families in the surrounding area as well as Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tulsa, we feed and clothe 80-120 individuals every Friday in Tulsa from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.  We utilize the food we grow on the property for the foundation as well as donations from Panera Bread, and many mothers making sandwiches, burritos, and other delicious food.  If you’d like to help support, check us out on Facebook and message us.  (13) Facebook

About Our Stewardship

We take stewardship seriously in the care of all our animals.  Our cattle are raised from birth and are cared for throughout their lives.  It is a blessing and honor to take care of the gifts God has given us.

For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.  I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.”

Psalm 50:10-12
